• Education background: Alliance Bible Seminary Hong Kong (BTh 1979); China Graduate School of Theology Hong Kong (MDiv 1984), and University of Durham, England (PhD 1993), major in New Testament Studies, focus on Pauline Theology. Studied under international renowned scholar Lightfoot Professor James D.G. Dunn. The doctoral dissertation is revised and published: “The Truth of the Gospel”: A Study in Galatians 2.15-21 (JDDS 7; Hong Kong: Alliance Bible Seminary, 2000).
• Ecclesiastical background and involvement: Ordained elder of the Chinese Annual Conference of the Methodist Church in Malaysia. • 马来西亚神学院STM院长，兼任新约讲师。
• 东南亚神学研究院SEAGST之新马泰区域教务主任；ATESEA学术评审委员会成员。
• 学历背景：香港建道神学院神学士(1979)；中国神学研究院道学硕士(1984)；英国杜伦大学神学系哲学博士(1993)，主修新约，研究保羅神學。受教于国际知名学者邓雅各教授Professor James D.G. Dunn。博士论文已经出版：“The Truth of the Gospel”: A Study in Galatians 2:15-21 (JDDS 7; Hong Kong: Alliance Bible Seminary, 2000) 。
• 教会背景和参与：马来西亚卫理公会华人年议会牧师，先后於槟城日落洞卫理公会及吉隆坡卫理公会广东堂牧会。卫理公会总议会牧师代表(1996; 2000; 2004)；华人年议会执行部成员(2001-2004; 2005-2008)；华人年议会牧职部成员(1997-2000; 2001-2004; 2005-2008)；总议会司法理事会牧师成员(2004-2008)；总议会法规修订理事会成员(2001-2004)，法规修订理事会主席(2005-2008)。
