  1. All prospective students are required to make application through their churches in good time for their application to be received by STM: For Malaysians, applications must reach the seminary by the 1st of October for admission into the following academic year; for international students, applications must reach the seminary by the 15th of July for admission into the following academic year. Self-financed or independent students may apply directly to the seminary.
  2. Application forms may be obtained from the Registrar. Basic information concerning your church, occupation, work experience, age, academic qualifications and proposed program of study should be in writing.
  3. The decision as to whether a particular student meets the requirements of his or her sending church belongs to the sponsoring denomination which sends him/her to the seminary. The ultimate responsibility for ensuring that the basic requirements of the seminary lies with the seminary.
  4. Interviews with prospective students are normally held in September and November each year to enable the faculty members to meet the candidates and to ensure that entrance requirements have been fully met. An orientation course for all new students is held in the week before the first semester of the academic year.
  5. Those contemplating to undertake studies as private students must arrange for an interview with the Academic Dean at an early stage. Even in cases where a student may intend to be financially self-supporting, the seminary requires that the student be in good standing with his or her own church. Single students are normally required to be residents and are to comply with the seminary rules like other students.

For further details, please contact our Academic Dean.
