About TEE

STM offers opportunities for those who are not able to enrol for full-time study to avail themselves of theological education. The TEE Department covers three language departments, i.e. The English, Chinese and Tamil Department. The TEE Department is offering modular courses leading to the Certificate of Christian Ministry ( CertCM ) and the Diploma of Christian Ministry ( DipCM ) for under-graduates, Graduate Diploma of Christian Studies ( GradDipCS ) and the Master of Christian Studies ( MCS ) for graduates. This program is designed specifically for the training and advancement of lay leadership in the church.

The Tamil TEE Department offers the following programs :

Certificate of Christian Ministry ( CertCM )
Diploma of Christian Ministry ( DipCM )

The Certificate of Christian Ministry ( CertCM ) is a 30 credit hour study program. It consists of four core courses and six electives ( 12 credits hours and 18 credit hours respectively ).

The Diploma of Christian Ministry ( DipCM ) is a 60 credit hour study programme, which requires another 30 credit hours of study above that required for the CertCM. For the latter 30 credit hours of study, the study requirement is again another four core courses and six electives ( 12 credit hours and 18 credit hours respectively ). The electives will cover areas such as the Malaysian Religions and Practical Theology.

Duration of Study :

One year part-time study for Certificate of Christian Ministry.
Two years part-time study for Diploma of Christian Ministry.

Admission Requirements :

Strong conviction for Tamil Ministry and actively involved in local church ministry.
Two years working experience.
Above 20 years of age.
Proficiency in Tamil language.
SPM with an aggregate of 35 and less in best 5 subjects.
Those who are 30 years old and above may be considered for admission into either study programs.

Further Studies :

Holders of the CertCM and the DipCM may proceed to the second and third year respectively of the STM internal full-time BTh / BD program provided the necessary entry requirements are met.

Center for Studies :

Currently, CertCM and DipCM are offered at STM Campus, Seremban.
